Marta Misztal Bloch (Spain) – organy

MARTA MISZTAL BLOCH was born in Zakopane, where she began her musical education at the Mieczysław Karłowicz State School of Music (Prof. Lidia Długołęcka, piano). Since 1995 she has lived in Madrid, where she studied organ playing in the class of Prof. Anselmo Serna Bustamante at Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria and Prof. Miguela del Barco at Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid (Madrid Royal Conservatory), graduating with honours. When already in Spain, she participated in numerous master courses in early organ music (Professors: Montserrat Torrent, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Jean-Claude Zehnder, Andrés Cea Galán, Paolo Crivellaro, Antonio Duarte, Jan Willem Jansen, Michel Bouvard, et al.). She also took part in master courses in other countries, run by Prof. Lorenzo Ghielmi (Arona, Italy), Prof. Jean-Claude Zehnder (Naumburg, Leipzig and Norden in Germany, and Arlesheim in Switzerland), as well as Prof. Luigi Ferdinand Tagliavini, one of the most outstanding musicians specialising in early Italian music (e.g. in Bologna, Piacenza, Rome). She was awarded scholarship by Hochschule für Musik und Theater ‘Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’ (Leipzig) and The Juilliard School (New York). Marta Misztal gives concerts in Europe (e.g. Andorra, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Ukraine). She has taken part in festivals in Spain (e.g. Semana Internacional de Órgano in Madrid, La música en el Camino in Santiago, Música para Órgano in Navarra) and in other European countries, including Poland (the ‘Johann Sebastian Bach’ International Organ Festival in Warsaw/Łowicz, the Kazimierski Organ Festival in Kazimierz Dolny), France or Italy (Organi storici in Cadore, Vespri d’Organo a San Martino in Bologna, the ‘ImagoMagi’ International Festival in Brugherio). She is the titular organist at the San Antonio de los Alemanes church in Madrid, served by the Brotherhood of Santa, Pontificia y Real Hermandad del Refugio y Piedad de Madrid.
