PAWEŁ WRÓBEL

Teacher, concert organist and promoter of musical life.

He studied under Professor Andrzej Chorosiński at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Professor Jon Laukvik at the Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart (Germany), and Professor Gunther Rost at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Austria). In 2012, he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, and in 2019, he was awarded a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) from the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He was a scholarship recipient of the Keimyung Research Foundation at Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea.

He has received awards at international organ competitions in Poznań (2005), Gdańsk (2006), Zurich (2011), and Miami (2012). He has participated in numerous masterclasses and professional training sessions in organ performance led by distinguished professors from Poland and abroad.

He is the author of six published music editions, released by Polihymnia Publishing House in Lublin. These include transcriptions of harpsichord, piano, and orchestral works for organ, as well as previously unknown compositions by 20th-century Polish composers. Paweł Wróbel has recorded five CDs of organ music, two of which feature organ works by forgotten 20th-century Polish composers, marking the first-ever recordings of these pieces. For his efforts in promoting forgotten Polish organ music, he was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Warsaw.

He has collaborated with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. He currently serves as a lecturer at the Diocesan Organist School and the Ludomir Różycki State Music School Complex in Kielce. He is also the artistic director of the International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music held at the Cathedral Basilica in Kielce.

As a concert artist, he has performed in countries such as Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United States. He is also a member of the American Guild of Organists in New York.
